Performance
The
Honda Ridgeline offers unmistakable drive with a 3.5-liter, 24-valve
SOHC VTEC V-6 engine that produces 250 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of
torque for impressive towing capabilities under the hood of every model.
The engine is coupled to an advanced, electronically controlled 5-speed
automatic transmission, programmed to take full advantage of engine
torque shift more quickly, as well as a fully automatic Variable Torque
Management (VTM-4) 4-Wheel Drive System that also has a manual option
available up to 18 mph.
The Ridgeline's advanced
4-wheel independent suspension and chassis make towing, hauling and
off-roading a whole lot smoother. Unlike other trucks with live-axle
suspensions, each of the Ridgeline's wheels operates independently of
the others and also has a lower unsprung weight. As a result, the
Ridgeline operates with superior off-road handling, a composed ride and
unmatched stability. And the Ridgeline's engine has one of the
highest-mileage (15/city, 21/highway, 17/combined mpg [1]) and
lowest-emissions ratings in its class. |

Standard Options and
Features
Distinguishing features
define the Ridgeline's character, from its masculine lines and grille,
to its useful dual-action tailgate, Steel-Reinforced Composite (SRC)
cargo bed and industry-first lockable in-bed trunk, which helps keep
large-sized gear secure and safe from weather. Also included with all
models are an integrated Class III trailer hitch, pre-wiring for a
trailer harness, steering wheel-mounted cruise control, MP3/Windows
Media Audio (WMA) playback capability with the standard CD player, three
12-volt power outlets (two in front, one in back) and added storage
space in the rear cabin with 60/40 lift-up
seats.
Building on the standard RT model are the
Sport, RTS and RTL models for added customization and versatility. The
Sport model features 18" alloy wheels, a black mesh grille with the
Sport emblem, fog lights, privacy glass, all-weather heavy duty floor
mats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted audio controls and
an MP3/auxiliary input jack.
The RTS model builds on
the RT model, with features including 17" alloy wheels, body-colored
folding power side mirrors and door handles, privacy glass, security
system, trailer harness, dual-zone automatic climate control with
air-filtration system, a 160-Watt AM/FM/6-disc in-dash CD audio system
with 7 speakers, including subwoofer. And the RTL adds 18" alloy wheels,
power moonroof, fog lights, heated side mirrors, a leather-trimmed
interior, available steering wheel-mounted phone and navigation
controls, heated front seats, a 115-volt power outlet and a HomeLink
Remote System, to name a few. |

Safety
Every
Ridgeline has advanced safety systems to help keep you out of trouble
and in command. Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with Traction Control
helps keep drivers in control in the event of an oversteer or
understeer. The 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes (ABS) along with Brake
Assist and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) help you bring everything
to a stop. And should your tire's air pressure reach a significantly
low level, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) will let you know.
Designed with an integrated closed-box frame and a reinforced body for
enhanced crash protection, Ridgeline occupants also are surrounded by no
fewer than six airbags. This array of coverage includes dual-stage,
multiple-threshold front airbags, front side airbags with passenger-side
Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) and side curtain airbags with
a rollover sensor-all standard. |
